The only downside is that your car will not be taken care of on Heathrow’s grounds, but rather driven to a compound where it will remain until your pre-arranged return date and time. The other negative point is communication between you and the company. They don’t have an office within the airport, so you will have to make all of your arrangements over the telephone. You might also have to take your car to the compound and then find travel arrangements from there - more planning will have to go in to this option.
Long stay parking can be good if you are going for a longer holiday. Prices will differ from day to day - being more expensive in the beginning (for the taxes), before becoming reasonably cheaper as the days or weeks pass.
