    I think that buying items and donating them to the shelter is a faboulos idea. Thank you so much for that. I always look at the expiration date. If there not expired then its all good.

    Thanks for the reply, I think what you are doing is GREAT, don’t get me wrong, I just feel that people need to be warned to make sure that are getting good pet food and not something that will harm animals. Even if they are on death row. I think it’s great to encourage people to do this, but also to double check the cans, thats all I’m saying

    SoCalBettie -I agree with you. But you have to realize, most animals at the shelter are on death row :(

    In my opinion (and again, this is only my opinion) I think if they could have treats and other minor luxuries before they are put to sleep… (I don’t even want to finish that sentence)

    With pet food brands at the dollar store, previous recalls loom large. The scariest pet food recall was in 2007, when melamine-tainted proteins were found in the pet food supply chain.– especially concerning food products from China — or tins that were previously recalled but never made it out of the supply chain. So you have to be careful to read labels and make sure you’re getting a name-brand item and not a knock-off and also that you have the latest products safety information.

    no offense but i don’t like the 99 cents store much. my mom use to take me there, and at first it was fun getting all the little toys, but they broke in like a day. and they never get anything new in stock, but then i guess its probably cuz that one wasn’t a very good one =/

    I looooove the 99 …
    I looooove the 99 cent store!! It is a guilty pleasure not bc its cheap but bc I do exactly what you do. Beauty aisles than somehow every time I make it down the candy aisles. Mmmmmmm candy. My number one product I get there is tissue boxes for our bathrooms and beauty sponges. :) Love it!

    BRAVO!! Hey listen, I have been to MANY 99cent stores all over the country and have come across highend items that are bought out and sold there! It’s amazing the bargains you may come across, honestly! I’ve managed to get avons products, as seen on tv stuff and even good haircolor, so why not?
    Oh, and I agree about the great supplies that the local animal shelters could be in great need of that prove useful to them!

    I happen to work at a 99.99 Cent store and leave with something everyday. We have alot of good deals. Thanks for doing a haul on the 99.99 cent store it was cool seeing things that you’ve shown that I see everyday. Can’t beat the price!!!! :)

    love this!!! my ex used to make fun of me all the time because i would spend so much money at the dollar store. i got lots of really cute headbands, elastics, even clip-in flowers for my hair. Dollarama isnt just a buck anymore (lame, knew that was coming) but its still pretty cheap and they have some really good stuff… you can even get brand name hair products like SunSilk and V05 there sometimes.
