Why did Obama stab Bill Richardson in the back? Do you feel sorry for Richardson and the way he was treated?

Bill Richardson betrayed his friends, his family and his race in his efforts to support Obama. He gave up his morals and his values and now is looked upon as a sellout and untrustworthy… his legacy is destroyed. All because he thought he would be Vice President… but Obama stabbed him in the back. Bill richardson has already had cabinet positions with Bill Clinton and does not want another one, he put it all on the line for Vice President and Obama dogged him out.
Probably serves him right for dissing the Clinton’s. Why would Obama trust him after he turned on what got him there?

I don’t know that Bill Richardson was stabbed in the back. Barack Obama probably just didn’t think that Bill Richardson was the right guy for the position of VP(?). Either way, I was surprised by Obama’s pick of Joe Biden as his VP runningmate.
