They should compensate the Lebanese in some way for the evil they have done there, the children they have killed, the buildings they have flattened…….

It was not “lost” in a conflict. A comparatively defenceless people were occupied by a powerful military with US backing. Did the jews collectively “lose” WW2 by your reckoning? So Britain gave these losers Palestine? Yes that’s crazy but it’s the sort of logic YOU are applying in your latest comment.
Where is the honour in collective punishment, killing women and children, demolishing homes, dropping white phosphorous, the apartheid wall?

Israel will continue to bulldoze Palestinian communities to build Jewish settlements, while building Apartheid walls surounding the Palestinians. eventually a two state solution will be impossible leading to a one state solution. Israel will be forced to tear down the Apartheid walls and allow Palestinians to vote, by then Palestinians will be the Majority, they will vote Hamas in power, make arabic the official language rename the country back to its original name,Palestine, problem solved.

Check your English rules. ‘Single quotes’ are not the same as “double qoutes”.

Also, it WAS a big deal. Never before in the history of the world has a stronger country given land to the loser of a conflict for any reason that I know of. You may not like them, but doing THAT proves to me that they are FAR more honorable than Palestine (as a nation, not individuals).

Ireland is next on my list for accepting defeat rather than allowing conflict to continue. Do the Palestinians value honor?

I never said “it was no big deal” so not sure who you’re quoting there.

Israel made a massive deal out of it, ensuring maximum propaganda points, when all they had to do was withdraw their army and the settlers would soon have left. Instead they have helped the settlers encroach further into what little remains of the West Bank whilst still effectively occupying Gaza, in that it is under complete Israeli military control - they don’t even allow children’s toys to enter.

Let me just say, for someone to suggest that ‘it was no big deal’ for Israel to move its people out of Gaza has no clue.

But I will agree that there has been open debate among Israelis as to how to deal with this ongoing conflict. It would be an error to suggest that the actions of some to “undermine the PLO” counts as the will of the nation of Israel.

Regardless, Palestinians need to work on Palestine problems, Israelis need to work on Israeli problems. Point at yourself.

I don’t think cost is much of an issue for Israel, bankrolled by it’s Godfather in the US. They voted in Hamas because they saw what little Fatah was able to achieve, undermined as they were by the Israelis and Americans, whilst the annexation of the West Bank continued, and “targeted killings” of Palestinians in Gaza (plus the odd family on a beach etc.).
Previously, Israel had encouraged Hamas, to undermine the PLO. Israel always undermines any push for acceptable peace in international law.

It cost Israel a fortune to move their people out of Gaza all while the other Israelis protested. Just as predicted, the Palestinians immediately renigged on their pledge to renounce violence and voted in Hamas and the weapons started flowing in. They made bombs out of people. A truly evil strategy of a desparate mind.
Putting walls up was better than killing them all off. Walls stop the human bombs, but allow trade. I say you survived some really bad decision making.

Yes, the Palestinians continued to negotiate, despite the grand theft of their land under the world’s noses, and the accompanying violence (which has killed God knows how many Palestinians for each Israeli death). Israel did not “give up” Gaza, it transferred it’s settlers to the better land of the West Bank, whilst encircling Gaza, making it a giant prison, whose inhabitants are occasionally treated to the latest US military hardware and accompanying death and destruction. Disagree if you like.

I disagree. We all remember Israel and Palestine negotiating even while terrorism was growing in Palestinian territories. But Israel still gave up Gaza eventually, which is more than can be said for the Palestinians and terrorism. Palestine should follow Ireland’s example and give up terrorism.
