it’s a WONDERFUL book. my mom read this book when she was pregnant of me. and she almost named me michaelangelo, if i happened to be a boy! tee hee. my parents decided to name me angela, then. i feel a really deep connection with this book.
I loved it! I thought it was a wonderful book. If you liked that, I might recommend St. Francis by Nikos Kazantzakis. (He also wrote Zorba the Greek.) This was also one of the most beautifully written novels I have ever had the pleasure to read.

As an architect, I am most deeply impressed with Michelangelo’s architectural works, which are beautiful, fascinating, engaging, and deeply original.

I read it when i was in the 7th grade for my literature class. As I recall, I was the only one that liked it.
For the first time in my life I read the assigned book faster that I was supposed to. It was very entertaining indeed and I hope to read it again. I still own it.
By the way, a novel is completely fictitious. I realize not everything in the story is true but I would give it more credit than that.

Awesome book. Just don’t bother to see the movie. Ruins it.
