This is outrageous! Does the State of Texas not have “programs” in place for home health, and independent living istance? I used to work for an agency that helped mentally handicapped people live in their own homes, with as little interference in their lives as possible. We helped with house work, groceries, bill paying……why was this not an option for these two elderly people? Disgusting!!!

Oh My God in Heaven! This is so horribly wrong. They could have hired 24 hour a day sitters cheaper and stayed home. He obviously took care of things until he broke his hip. Funny that they don’t drag the penniless homeless in, many of who really are incompetent. I’ve seen very poor and sick folks hang on with just nursing visits to the home daily or priodically. These folks are being mistreated, robbed and their property damaged by total incompetents! I’m so sorry.
